This is British Pattern Socket Bayonet for 1842 Musket & 1851 Pattern Minie rifle. It has the Lovell catch and sight notch and New Land Pattern shoulders. The blade is maker marked "G&E RO?" and has been sold of of service (two broad arrows facing each other) stamped over the offical British acceptance marks.
