Deactivated OLD SPEC WWI & WWII Colt / Remington Rand 1911

Rare WWI & WWII Colt / Remington Rand manufactured Colt 1911 .45 pistol. The serial number 539807 dates to 1918 production. The slide is Remington Rand and is from WWII. As with most US weapons that are manufactured by different companies during wartime manufacture the parts are interchangeable. A simple field repair would be swapping parts as a quick fix. The overall condition would suggest that this was done during WWII. The classic American WWII side arm, firing the same hard hitting round as the Thompson submachine gun. Comes with correct 1942 dated leather holster and .45 inert rounds. Deactivated in 1992 with a working action, it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
