RARE WWII British No36 Hand Grenade
- Product Code: RARR4
- Availability: Out Of Stock
This is a sectionalised WWII dated British No36 Mills Grenade. The base plug is marked with the makers initials TA&S - Tweedales & Smalley and date of 1943. Just Visible on the body of the grenade are the body makers initials, they look to be J.P.& S. = Josiah Parkes & Sons, who manufactured these grenades during WWII. However, unlike any other you are likely to encounter this one has a certificate. It states that Sgt Gitten of the Colchester Troop, 621 Squadron, Merville Barracks, Colchester, confirms that this grenade has been made safe as a display item, and has been issued with its CFFE - Certificate Free From Explosives. There is a colour photo of the actual grenade on the document to verify its authenticity. The sectionalisation has been thoughtfully done with only a quarter section removed. Most are cut in half. A rare and unusual military item of which you are very unlikely to see another!
