- Product Code: 1 R94
- Availability: Out Of Stock
A rare WWII British 6 pound Anti Tank shell complete with armour piecing warheard APDS -(Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot). They were fired from British quick fire anti tank mobile guns and the Churchill tank MKIII. The round could pierce the armour of most German hardware. In 1944, the 6-pdr became the first cannon in the world to fire an Armor-Piercing, Discarding Sabot (APDS) projectile for improved penetration. This gave it the capability to tackle some of the big German tanks. The brass shell is dated 1942 and the head 1945. Both are correctly marked with the correct wartime ordnance codes and markings.
