Deactivated Sterling SMG L2A3 (Sterling Mark 4)

Deactivated Sterling SMG L2A3 (Sterling Mark 4) Adopted in 1956, this was the last regular version in service with the British Army. The Sterling replaced the Sten, seeing action in the Suez Crisis, Falklands War and Northern Ireland to mention a few. Deactivated with a moving cocking handle and bolt selection that can be cocked back and will return under spring tension when released. It can be partially stripped. This type/level of deactivation in no longer available under recent changes made by the Home Office.
