WWII British Enfield No2 MK1 Service Revolver with matching numbers. Often referred to as the "Tankers" revolver, it is said that RAF crews first raised the concerns about the hammer catching in the cockpit when bailing out. They were widely used throughout the British Army and issued to armoured vehicle or tank crews and the RAF. This example is Broad arrow marked and dated 1944 it is also stamped FTR 52 (Factory Through Repair 1952). The markings on pistol grip look to be either R.T.C (Royal Tank Corp) or possibly R.A.F. (Royal Air Force).  Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
