Deactivated Winchester P14 Sniper / Training Rifle

Deactivated Winchester P14 Sniper / Training Rifle. The P14 first saw action during WWI. It has become more commonly associated with the Home Guard of WWII. And most famously in the wartime comedy "Dad's Army". This one would have been used as a sniper rifle, or as a training aid in marksmanship. The stock has been extended and a cheek piece fitted. The rear sight has been removed, and a scope would have been mounted. An interesting piece of history. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
