Deactivated Madsen M50 SMG

This is a Danish Madsen M50 sub-machine gun, chambered in 9mm . As the desigantion suggests it was introduced in 1950. Its simple, robust and compact design saw large numbers exported worldwide and used by many different armies as well as convert units and gorilla groups. In the early 1950s it underwent intensive trials against the Sterling SMG. During the Vietnam War US troops came up against communist forces arms with M50s. This example comes with a slings and has several 9mm rounds in the magazine. Deactivated to current specifications with tensioned bolt that will return under spring tension.
