This is a very rare find indeed, a 1940 dated 660 coded MG34 barrel. Steyr, who were the only manufacture to use the "660" code are estimated to have only made only 7,000 MG34's during a very short lived production run in 1941, before switching over the MG42 production. The 660 code was only used from 1939 to 1940 and is only seen on MP40s and K98s. This is only one we have seen. It is clearly marked four times with the correct Waffen acceptance stamps WaA623, this to is the correct acceptance stamp used in conjunction with the 660 coding. The initials Bo are those of the metal manufacture and the star * symbol above the number 7 in the serial number (7820) may suggest that it failed initial inspection and required recification!
