This is a Second World War manufactured Webley & Scott MK4 .38 service revolver. The serial number dates to 1943 as the year of production, and the frame bears the British broad arrow military acceptance stamp. Revolvers that were made during WW2 were marked "War Finish" this represents a lack of polished bluing to the finish. The emphasis was on quantity and not quality. This example has factory matching numbers to frame, barrel and cylinders and has been deactivated clear chambers and a working action.

This revolver is currently at the proof house awaiting a replacement deactivation certificate.
