WW2 German M40 Helmet

This is a genuine named WW2 German M40 helmet with period liner and chin strap that has had SS decals applied at a later date. The helmet has the correct maker initial Q = Quist and size of 64 and lot number 472. Inside is the name "ALBLER F"  and scratched into the inner rim are the initials "JA". The SS decals are NOT original to the helmet. Interestingly though the lot number range of 475 to 478, Quist are known to have produced SS helmets and in the same size as this example. Although this is not a genuine SS helmet and is not being sold as such, it does offer a good representation, and at an affordable price.
