A genuine and early production Second World War, German K98 sling with all three major components maker marked. The buckle is marked L&F = Linden & Funke KG, Iserlohn and has the leather protector, this was fitted to prevent damage being caused to woodwork of the rifle. Just visible on the leather stopper is the makers mark and code. The sling is dated 1939 with the makers name and the Nazi acceptance eagle. Comes complete with buckle, stopper and leather adjuster hoop - not pictured.
They were also used on a variety other German weapons during WWII, such as the MP43, MP44 & G43 rifles etc.
