WW2 Fairbairn-Sykes 2nd Pattern fighting knife with scabbard

This is an original WW2 Fairbairn Sykes 2nd Pattern Fighting Knife, made by Wilkinson. This example is one of the most sought after with double etched blade reading 'The F-S Fighting Knife" one one side and the "Wilkinson Sword Lomndon" plate on the obverse ricasso.  The 2nd Pattern F-S knife featured a finely knurled brass hilt, thick steel crossguard and hand ground blade, doing away with the earlier square ricasso of the 1st pattern. This knife has its original leather scabbard with what appears to be a feint pencil drawn service number written on the reverse.
