VERY RARE WW2 K98 Sling With Matching Stopper

This is a very rare find indeed! Both sling and stopper are maker matched and dated. Incredibly these two parts have remained together since the day they were in 1944!!! Both are maker marked and dated "gxc 44" ; Reihold Adam, Sattlerwarenfabrik, Oberurel/ Taunus 1944. Interestingly Sattlerwarenfabrik translates as Saddlery Factory which confirms this to be the genuine WWII K98 sling with stopper.

 

They were also used on a variety other German weapons during WWII, such as the MP44 & G43 rifles.
