This is a rare find indeed! An original First World War manufactured German Dr. Walter Gerard, Charlottenburg rifle scope in WWII configuration. The initials D.R.G.M represent "Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchs-Muster" or German Reich Registered Design or trade mark in Germany. The serial number of this scope 37678 dates to between 1910 to 1918, and are well documented to have been fitted to WWI Gew98 sniper rifles but normally with off-set mounts. However the double claw mount configuration fitted to this scope is from WWII and is most closely associated with sniper rifles procured and issued to the German SS. We have included supporting litrature from the collectors grade book "Sniper Variations of the German K98k Rifle" that details these scopes and rifles.

The scopes optics are in very good condition with both cross hares and central post in tact. Ideal for use on a live fire or for display on a WWI Gew98 or WWII K98 sniper variant.
