This is a rare inert WW2 German M24 stick grenade with its original fragmentation sleeve still in tact. The handle is maker marked and dated 42 brb = 1942 Richard Rinker GmbH, Menden, Kreis Iserlohn. Just visible on the canister is the date of 1939 and makers code 512 that was used by Hermann Wuppermann AG, Stanz- u. Emaillierwerk, Pinneberg, Hamburg. A rare find!

The "Stielhandgranate" or hand stick grenade was the standard infantry grenade used throughout WW2. Often nicked named the "Potato Masher" by troops.
