This is a a First World War manufactured Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori, Swedish Mauser, Model m/96 (model of 1896). Dated 1917, this example has all matching numbers including the bolt assembly and woodwork. Very similar in design to the Gew98 as used by the German's in WWI. They were manufactured under license by Sweden with many being used during Germany's WWI effort. The stock disc markings relates to the calibre, bore condition and ammunition type. The calibre was measured as 6.51mm and is stamped with a small triangle to confirm this, and the barrel condition was graded as 1 with the same corresonding stamp."Overslag Torped Str" refers to the type of ammuntion and how it would work with the sights.
 
Deactivated to current specifcations with a moving bolt and trigger.
This rifle is available and is currently at the proof house being certificated.
