This is a genuine US made Colt Single Action Army Revolver (M1873) chambered in .45, aka the "Peacemaker" six shooter. Production started in 1872 and continued until 1940. This example has matching numbers and dates to 1890 as the year of manufacture. It has a 4 inch barrel and retains its original hard rubber Colt emblem grips. Possible one of the most iconic revolvers of all time, the Peacemaker has been used in countless western movies and carried by movie legends including Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Charles Bronson and Kevin Costner to name but a few. One of the most famous owners of the Peacemaker was US Lt Gen George S Patton who carried his Ivory gripped example with him throughout WWII. Deactivated to curent specifications with clear chambers . The cylinders will index when the hammer is pulled back. Included are six inert .45 rounds.
