Inert FN Herstal TELGREN FNB Rifle Practice Grenade

This is an inert Belgian made practice rifle grenade, produced by FN Herstal to be used with the FNC rifle. It employed an innovative "bullet through" design whereby the grenade was launched by a standard 7.62mm round being discharged and passing through the body of grenade, exiting through the head. The range could be set by adjusting the telescopic body to suit, this action also arming the grenade. The advantage of this design meant that the operator did not need to carry any special additonal blank ammunition to fire the grenade and the rifle needed no modification other than the fitting of a barrel mounted launcher.
