Inert WW2 German M24 Stick Grenade

This is a Second World War issued German M24 "Stielhandgranate" or hand stick grenade. The handle is maker marked 42dbk - Richard Rinker GmbH, Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg, and the canister is marked "wc 1942" = Hasag, Hugo Schneider AG, Metalwarenfabrik Leipzig, Werk Meuselwitz, Thuringia. The grenade has an original porcelain ball with cord and the cap retains the original spring with card weather seal disc. This was omitted from the design in 1943. The canister as impact marks that suggest it was thrown but failed to detonate!!
The "Stielhandgranate" or hand stick grenade was the standard infantry grenade used throughout WW2. Often nicked named the "Potato Masher" by troops.
