Deactivated WWII Hungarian Frommer 37M (FEMARU)

This is a Second World War manufactured Hungarian Frommer (Femaru) 37.M pistol that was manufactured by Fémáru Fegyver- és Gépgyár R.T. Budapest. FEG made this model from 1937 to 1944, and this one is from the final year of production - 1944. That year they made around 25,962. Hungary was a member of the Axis forces up until 1943 afterwhich it started peace negotiations with the US and the UK in autumn of 1943. Hitler then ordered German troops to occupy Hungary in early 1944 around the same time this pistol was being made. Then in September 1944 Soviet forces crossed the Hungarian border. Hungary had already been suppling Nazi German with Fémáru pistols for its military forces.
