Deactivated WWI French M1917 Flare Pistol

This is a WWI French M1917 brass flare circa 1917. The serial number is 4022 and the frame and barrel are both stamped with the V proof mark. This particular pistol was recovered from the battlefields of France and brought back as a souvenir. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
