Deactivated WW2 Webley MK6 .455 Revolver
- Product Code: 19WC5
- Availability: Out Of Stock
This, Webley MK6 is from one of the last batches of First World War contracted revolvers for issue to British officers. It is dated 1919 with matching numbers to frame, cylinders and barrel. Virtually every part bears an inspection or broad arrow stamp. We know that this revolver saw active service and was later factory repaired. The cylinders have two sets of serial numbers both of which are factory rolled stamped. The pistol grip once had issue / regimentally markings that have been removed. This was most likely done when it was "sold out of service". Although the Great War ended in November 1918, the Allied powers were then tasked with policing and processes millions of German and Axis POW's. The MK6 still remains synonymous with the British officer as he leads his men "over the top" out of trenches. As with this example a great many MK6's were re-issued for the Second World War. Deactivated very sympathetically with a working action. Included are 6 inert .455 rounds.
