The example was made by Savage and bears the correct Army Inspector of Ordnance stamps "FJA" Franck J Atwood and GEG acceptance stamp of Auto-Ordnance’s civilian inspector George E. Goll. The serial number dates to 1942 as the year of manufacture. A great many of these Thompsons being produced during ths period were being made in preparation for the D-Day landing of June 1944. This example is fitted with a foregrip that once had the sling swivel mounted to the side, a feature most commonly associated on British Airborne and Commando issued Thompsons.

Deactivated to current specifications with a moving charging handle that holds back and will then release under spring pressure. The trigger also moves and magazine can be removed.
