Deactivated WW2 US Thompson M1928A1 Sub Machine Gun
- Product Code: 60289
- Availability: Out Of Stock
This is an early production WW2 US Thompson 1928A1 that was made by Auto-Ordnance. The low serial number of 60,289 dates to 1940, the first year of wartime production. Government documents show that AO made by far the fewest, producing 323,900 from 1940 to 1942. Savage made over double this completing 746,932. This example bears the correct US Government Army Inspectors initials WB for Colonel Waldemar Broberg and US Flaming Grenade acceptance stamps. It has matching serial numbers to both receiver and trigger assembly and the finish looks to be original to the gun. Deactivated with a tension bolt/carrier that returns under spring pressure.
