Deactivated WW2 RARE Early Production Savage Lee Enfield No4 MK1

This is a rare early production Second World War "Lend Lease" Lee Enfield No4 MKI made at the Savage Arms plant, Chicopee, Massachusetts. Very few of this variant were produced after which the simplified MKI* was then introduced. This variant is similar to the British No4's with the bolt release catch behind the charger loading bridge. These early rifles were also fitted with the rounded bolt cocking piece, and on this rifle it still has its original factory numbered bolt. Note the receiver designation is different as well, and the serial number is very low 9C3287.  These early rifles were among the first to be shipped to the UK under the Lend Lease agreements with the UK & US Governments. A rare and sought after Lee Enfield No4 variant. Deactivated with a working action.
