This is a rare early production WWII German MP40. It was manufactured in 1941 by Steyr using secret makers code BNZ, the first year Steyr used this code. It features a slotted "slab sided" magazine housing, this was only used on the MP38 and early MP40s before being phased out in favour of the pressed ribbed housings. Production figures of all manufactures for 1941 are estimated to be just 139,667 guns, interpersed within this total are small amounts of the Slab sided variant. Incredible virtually all the numbers are still matching including the bolt and it is fitted with cherry Bakelite foregrips. A rare survivor! Deactivated with a working action.
