The K98 is dated 1937 and was made by Mauser (receiver coded S/42) and still retains matching numbers to the receiver, barrel, complete rear sight assembly and bolt. It also bears the correct Mauser acceptance stamps Eagle over 63. This variant of sniping rifle was designated as the ZF39 and utilises a mounting system that enables the scope to be removed. The Jena scope has a low serial number and has great optics. Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and trigger, and the magazine with accept inert rounds.
