Deactivated WW2 German K98 Dated 1942

This is a mid Second World War dated Nazi K98 rifle. Dated 1942, it was manufactured by JP Sauer who are estimated to have only produced around 183,321 rifles that year, and this rifle can be dated to early 1942. Two variants are known to exist from this years production with different scripts on the receiver. This example has the early slanted CE & 42 script and the other with a vertical script is late 1942. The receiver bears the correct Eagle over 37 & 359 acceptance stamps. The stock is stamped with a capital H for Heer or Army and all metal parts are Waffen stamps. Deactivated with a working action.
