This is an early production Bren MK1m dated 1942. The serial number of this Bren, 0T7650 is from the very first block of newly allocated serial numbers used by Inglis in late 1941 early 1942. From this point on until production ended in 1945, Inglis used the following serialisation of 0T0001 to 0T9999 then 1T0001 to 1T9999 and so on all the way through to number 15T7544 by the time the war ended. This Bren is therefore gun number 7,650th of the T series guns and would have been shipped over from Toronto, Canada, avoiding attack from German U-Boats and received in the UK for issue to UK and Commonwealth forces. The gun retains the majority of its matched parts including the receiver, trigger assembly and barrel. It is fitted with the correct early humped stock, dial sights and extendable bipod legs. The magazine is the correct type and bears the Canadian C with a broad arrow acceptance within. Deactivated with a working action.
