This is a Second World War dated Bren MK1m that was manufactured in 1942 by Inglis. It has matching numbers to the receiver, trigger assemble and barrel and is fitted with the correct dial sight, "humped" stock and telescopic bipod. The additional hand ecthed numbers 2962 are most likely rack or armorers markings. The butt-stock plate is an early type with the bracket for the shoulder strap. The Bren is considered by many to be one of the best guns of its type, capable of prolonged periods of suspressing fire and equally as accurate as a bolt action rifle. Deactivated with a working.
