Deactivated WW2 Beretta M38/44 sub-machine gun

This is an Italian Beretta M38/44 sub-machine gun, serial number 15. As the model desigation suggests, this variant was first produced in 1944 as a simplified version of the M38/42 & M38/43 models. During WWII it was adopted by the German army and designated as the MP.739.  Production continued after the war with both military and police units being armed with them. This example must be one of the earliest known examples being number 15. It comes with a 40 round high capacity magazine containing several inert 9mm rounds. Deactivated to current specifications with a moving bolt that holds back and can be released using the side button.
