This is a rare WW1 Austro-Hungarian military contract Frommer Stop Pistol. Manufactured by Fegyver es Gepgyar of Budapest, this pistol is part of a small batch delivered to the Austro-Hungarian army in 1917. The markings on the trigger guard are Military acceptance stamps, 'Bp' (for Budapest), followed by the dual Austro-Hungarian crest with the last two digits the year of manufacture (1917). Known serial numbers for 1917 run from 133,000 to 208,500. This pistols serial number sits in the heart if this being number 162,227. The Autro-Hungarian's fort along side the Imperial German Army during WWI and suffered huge losses, and like Germany urgently required these types of weapons to continue fighting. The pistol has definitely seen service and still retains its original wooden grips and correct magazine. Included is an equally rare original Frommer leather holster. Deactivated with a working action.
