Deactivated Type 53 Vietnam War Era Chinese M44 Carbine

This is a Communist manufactured Type 53 Carbine. The design is an exact copy of the WW2 Russian M44. Production started in 1953, and this example is dated "1954.7" = July 1954. Between 1953 to 1957 around 850,000 were made, many of which were supplied to the Communist forces in Vietnam fighting against the US and its allies. This superb example retains its factory matching numbers, integral folding bayonet, cleaning rod and woodwook.
