Deactivated Steyr M1909 One of Only 2,000

This is a very scarce Austrian made Oesterr Waffenfabriks-Ges Steyr Pieper Pocket Pistol, model 1909. The date code 27. and corresponding serial number date this pistol to 1927 as the year of production. Only 2,000 were made that year. The known serial range is from 122,000 to 124,000. This examlple being number 123,344, gun number 1,344th of 1927.  These superbly built little pistols were a favorite pocket pistol for Austro-Hungarian Military officers and Police departments. Included is the correct type of pebble finish leather holster. The magazine is missing the part of the base tab used to removed it. It still function correctly and be removed and loaded inert rounds. Deactivated with a working action.
