Deactivated Russian Kalashnikov AKMS Vietnam War era
- Product Code: 672akms
- Availability: Out Of Stock
This is an original Russian 1970 manufactured Kalashnikov "AK47". This variant is the AKMS which means Kalashnikov's Automatic Rifle Modernised Folding, and is the improved variant of the AK47 with the addition of a folding stock. It is the gun often seen in the hands of insurgency and guerilla forces around the world, and was the most frequently captured weapon by UK and US forces whilst in Afghanistan and Iraq. Supported by Communist Russia, huge quantities were sent to arm the North Vietnamese forces during the Vietnam War (1955 to 1975). This example is dated 1970 and looks to be original with its wooden furniture, matching top cover and factory blacked finish. Included is a bayonet and several inert 7.62mm rounds. Deactivated with a moving trigger.
