Deactivated RFI SMLE

This is an Indian military manufactured SMLE No1 MK3* rifle dated 1948. Whilst part of the British Empire and Commonwealth, India was permitted to manufactured the SMLE in-house. They first starting producing the SMLE during WW1, throughout WW2 and continued into the 1950s before phasing them out and adopting the SLR L1A1 or 1A1 the Indian designation. This variant is almost identical to the British example with the exception of the front sight protective "square ears", as seen of this one. Deactivated with a working action.
