Deactivated RARE Beretta M1934 Italian Airforce Issued

This is a rare Italian Beretta M1934 that was issued to the their Air Force or Aeronautica Militare or AM meaning; military aeronautics. Very few Beretta pistols are encountered with this marking. The date of 1947 on the slide is also of great significance for Italy and its armed forces. That year saw the Treaty of Paris signed between Italy and the Allied Powers, formally ending hostilities between both parties. It came into general effect on 15 September 1947. One aspect of the treaty greatly restricted Italy from having a sizeable armed forces and limited its Airforce to just 25,000 personnel. This rare pistol was issued to one of those men!! A rare find indeed. Deactivated to current specifications with moving slide, trigger and hammer.
