Deactivated Pre WW1 FN Browning M1906 Pocket Pistol

This is a first variant pre First World War FN M1906 pocket pistol. Only the first variant of this model was manufactured without a manual safety, and just a grip safety. There is also no mechanism to lock / hold the slide open. Another feature only found on these early pistols is the trigger, it is narrow, flat and smooth. Only 150,000 of the first variant's were manufactured from 1906 to 1909. This gun is number 87,478th and dates to around 1907 to 1908. During WW1 the FN factory in Belguim was captured by the German's who used these small concealable pistols as back weapons, being ideal to hide in a boot or within clothing.  Deactivated to current specifications with a moving slide and trigger.
