Deactivated Polish PPS-43

This is a superb condition Cold war era PPS43 (Pistolet-Pulemet Sudaeva, model of 1943 = Sudaev SMG) dated 1954 with its matching bolt. The PPS43 was conceived during WWII with the emphasis on simplifying production and eliminating most machining operations. Whilst under Communist control Poland was permitted to produce the Russian PPS-43. This example was made by the Polish factory Wifama Łódź , and is marked with the encircled 53 factory code forward of the rear siight.
