Deactivated French Unique Model 51 Pistol

This is a French manufactured Unique Model 51 pistol. The design is based on the wartime pistols that were used by the Germans whilst under Nazi occupation. Post WW2 Unique continued making these well made pistols for the military and police. They are sturdy and compact pistols utilising a similar locking system as seen on the Browning 1910 & 1922 pistols. By similpy locking the slide back, rotating the barrel 90 degress releasing the barrel locking lugs from the frame the barrel is removed from the front of the slide. The slide then slide off. This example is in superb original condition with its factory blued finish, unblemished grips and correct "Unique" stamped magazine. Deactivated with a working action.
