Deactivated First Year of Production Steyr M1909 Pistol

This is a very rare first year of production Austrian made Oesterr Waffenfabriks-Ges Steyr Pieper Pocket Pistol, model 1909. The first year of production saw an estimated 24,500 pistol made. This pistol is number 12,119 from that years production and is corectly dated 09 =1909. These superbly built little pistols were a favorite pocket pistol for Austro-Hungarian Military officers and Police departments. Production started in 1909 and ceased in 1915 during WWI. 1919 saw production resume with an estimated 130,500 made before it was discontinued in the 1930s.  Deactivated with a working action.
