Deactivated Early Milled Receiver Yugoslavian RPK M72

This is a early Zastava-Kragujeva Yugoslavian RPK (Ruchnoy Pulemyot Kalashnikova) light machine gun, model M72B. It was originally created and designed to standardize the small arms inventory of the Red Army in the 1950's. The design is based on the now legendary AK47. The M72 has a heavier longer barrel with cooling fins, to cope with sustained or prolonged firing, and has a milled receiver opossed to the pressed (as seen on the later M72B2) for added strength. The front sight features a flip-up night sight. They continue to be used by many armed forces around the world today often seen in the hands of the Taliban and other terrorist organisations. Both Russia and Ukrainian forces are currently using them in their on going conflict. This being an early example is not dated and comes with a 75 round drum magazine.
