Deactivated Chinese SKS Type 56 Carbine Dating to 1967

This Chinese Communist manufactured Type 56 SKS Carbine is a definate contender for a Vietnam War issued weapon. The 12,000.000 million serial range was only used by the Chinese Factory 26 in 1967. This example is serial number 12,164.243 from that batch. During the Vietnam War (1955 to 1975) huge quantities of these carbines were supplied to the Communist forces of the North Vietnamese army who were fighting the South who were being supported by the US and its anti-communist Allies. This SKS shows signs of extensive service use suffering damage to the spike bayonet that has then been shortened. Deactivated with a moving trigger and working trigger safety.
