This is a Belgium made Browning High Power, circa 1950s that was issued to Austian police. The pistol is stamped with the initials LGK 00 which stands for Landes Gendarmerie Kommando ( Rural / County Gendarmerie Unit). 00 is the region and identifies that it was issued to "Upper Austria". The weapon number is 1718. These pistols are virtually identical to the wartime pistols being produced in the same factory and production line after the Allied liberation in 1944. This superb example has its original factory finish, grips, matching numbers and most importantly its matching magazine. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired. Comes with EU/UK deactivation certificate
