The L1A1 is now synonymous with the British army, being first introduced in 1954 it saw service most famously in the Falklands War and in Northern Ireland and the First Gulf War. Most agree it was the best weapon of its type. This example is fitted with black plastic furniture and dates to 1964. Deactivated to current specifications.
