Deactivated 1943 Dated Russian M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine

This 1943 dated Russian Mosin Nagant M38 carbine has definitely seen active service. After repair using existing parts the Russian armourer has struck through the old numbers on the floor and butt stock plates and matched them to the receiver serial number. The woodwork was also been damaged in several places. Note the infills either end of the trigger guard / magazine housing, and reapirs to the stock at both ends. This is the standard Russian repair carried on weapons that were damaged during combat.
