This is a stunning condition 1920s FN Browning model 1906 pocket pistol. Manufactured in the early 1920s it also bears Austrian proof stamps, issue numbers and a date stamp of 24 = 1924. This indicates that it was issued into service most likely as a state police / security weapon. After WW1 Austria suffered from major policial upheaval whilst under the watchful eye of the Victorious Allied countries. Gun controls were also strictly monitored and only permitted to be issued in limited numbers to the armed forces, police/state security and authories officials. 100 years after this pistol was issued it has remained in near perfect condition. The original blueing still looks factory fresh and slide markings as crisp as the day they were roll stamped. A credit to the workmanship and quality that the FN factory adhered to. Deactvated with a working action.
This pistol is available and is at the proof house awaiting a replacement deactivated certificate.
