Rare WWII Nazi Marked French Unique 17 Pistol, chambered in 7.65mm, manufactured by Manufacture D'Armes des Pyranees. Whilst under occupation, Germany utilized French arms companies to make, supply and arm its own forces. Often using existing models and simply re-designating with a new German code(s). Weapons used were stamped with a Nazi Waffenamt (WaA) code. Under Nazi Germany procurement the Unique was stamped with Waffen code WaA251 and the barrel carries the correct Nazi Eagle proof acceptance stamp. The Unique was only manufactured from 1941- 1944, with estimated 25,000 to 30,000 of these pistols ever made. Serial numbers ran from around 21,000 to 58,000 with this pistol being number 40,235. Internally these guns have production numbered parts which should be factory matched, as seen on this example; no 173. Deactivated to current specifications with moving slide and trigger. The magazine can be removed and will accept inert 7.65mm rounds and the trigger safety / slide lock works.
