This is a Hungarian army issued Frommer Stop pistol. It dates to 1921 and was produced for the post WW1 independent Hungarian army. On the left side of the trigger guard are the initials 'Bp' (for Budapest), followed by the St.Steven's crowned crest military acceptance. Only 90,000 were made after WW1 with production ending in 1929, this pistol being one of just 31,100 made in 1921. This model was first procured by the Imperial German army for issue in the First World War and during the Weimar inter war period and into WW2 small quantities were issued to Nazi police units. This example is in superb condition and is fitted with the correct wooden grips and magazine. Deactivated with a working action.
